Valencia GP3: Robert Visoiu takes first win in race two
Robert Visoiu took his maiden GP3 win in race two at Valencia on Sunday, leading the reversed-grid race from start to finish
MW Arden racer Visoiu had Barcelona race two victor Aaro Vainio for company in the early laps, but he extended his lead to over a second by lap four. From there he pulled away inexorably, winning by 7.7s.
Vainio (Koiranen) slipped back into the clutches of Carlos Sainz Jr in the closing stages, who had been rudely shoved grasswards by the Finn off the startline.
Sainz also had to pass Tio Ellinas, who started third, to grab the last spot on the podium.
Behind fourth-placed Ellinas was Daniil Kvyat, while Kevin Korjus just held off race one runner-up Facu Regalia for sixth, despite Regalia lunging past him at Turn 1 with a couple of laps to go.
Regalia ran out of road, but just held off Conor Daly and a charging Nick Yelloly for seventh.
