Campos Racing will join the World Touring Car Championship this year to run SEATs in partnership with former works squad SUNRED.
Adrian Campos revived his eponymous operation in 2011 and has since fielded cars in Auto GP and Formula 3.
SUNRED chief Joan Orus has merged his squad with Campos's and will head up its touring car programme, which will also include a single car in the European Touring Car Cup.
"Together we may establish a stronger team that will be able to aim for ambitious programmes," said Orus.
"My own task is to put in place a touring car department within Campos Racing for WTCC and ETCC."
Campos said he has big ambitions for his touring car outfit.
"This is the first important step for establishing a formidable team," he said.
"I hope this collaboration will give Campos Racing as many titles as we have won in single seater championships in the last 15 years."
No drivers have yet been announced for the WTCC programme.
Campos's original team now runs as Addax in GP2.
He sold it to Alejandro Agag to focus on moving into Formula 1 with what became HRT, but split with the project before its debut season.
