Colin Turkington back to British Touring Car Championship with WSR

Former British Touring Car champion Colin Turkington will return to the series this year with his former squad WSR

Turkington took the 2009 title in a WSR BMW 320 but has not appeared in the series since.

The 30-year-old will now join Rob Collard and Nick Foster in the team's new NGTC BMW 125i machines.

"I'm really excited to be back in the BTCC for 2013," said Turkington.

"I have a long relationship with WSR and we've experienced some great success together in both the BTCC and WTCC. I am hoping to bring that success once again this year.

"Getting behind the wheel of the NGTC specification BMW will be a new challenge and I can't wait to be back on the grid at Brands Hatch on March 31."

WSR boss Dick Bennetts added: "It's really great to have Colin back on board.

"With Rob, Nick and now Colin, I believe we have a very strong driver line-up capable of challenging for championship honours."
