Fuji WEC: Toyota leads first practice with Kazuki Nakajima

Toyota started its home round of the World Endurance Championship on top as it beat Audi in opening practice at Fuji

Kazuki Nakajima, back in the Toyota line-up for the first time since the Silverstone 6 Hours, set the pace with a lap of 1m28.809s.

Benoit Treluyer made a late improvement in the championship-leading #1 Audi to take second from Allan McNish in the #2, but was still 0.419 seconds down on the Toyota.

Strakka's HPD was the best of the non-factory LMP1s, ahead of Rebellion's #12 Lola-Toyota.

Signatech's #26 ORECA-Nissan set the LMP2 pace.

Richard Leitz's Felbermayr-Proton Porsche beat the Ferraris to the GTE-Pro top spot, while the #50 Larbre Corvette was fastest in GTE-Am.
