Stefan Bradl promises to learn from Assen error
Stefan Bradl has pledged to learn from his Assen MotoGP error and get among the frontrunners again in his home race at Germany's Sachsenring next weekend
The German qualified a MotoGP career-best fourth in the Netherlands and held that position at the start, only to crash out on lap two.
"I do not have so much to say," said reigning Moto2 champion Bradl. "Yesterday we obtained a very good grid position and today I took another good start.
"In the first laps the feeling with the bike was great and I could easily close the little gap to [Ben] Spies.
"I do not remember last time I had such a good feeling in the first laps but I have to be honest: probably I was too aggressive in braking into Turn 10 and I crashed. It's my mistake and I am very sorry for the guys. Today we could have got a very positive result."
The LCR Honda rider said he was pleased to have at least shown he could match the MotoGP leaders.
"Now I want to learn from my mistakes, making another step forward ahead of my home race," Bradl said. "The potential is there and we are capable of racing with the top riders."
