Tonio Liuzzi leads Christian Klien in Superstars practice two in Hungary
Former Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team-mates Tonio Liuzzi and Christian Klien led the way in the second International Superstars Series practice session at the Hungaroring in Budapest
Liuzzi was the pacesetter in the 30-minute session, braving the heat to set a scorching hot 1m53.234s best in the CAAL Racing Mercedes. Klein, on debut in Superstars, was second in the Swiss Team Maserati, albeit 0.9 seconds behind Liuzzi.
Having languished near the bottom of the timing screen for much of the session, Audi Sport Italia's Gianni Morbidelli fired in a quick lap with just a few minutes left to go third fastest, ahead of Dinamic BMW duo Thomas Biagi and Stefano Gabellini.
Colombian star Camilo Zurcher had a much improved second session, going sixth fastest in the Romeo Ferraris Mercedes, two spots ahead of his team-mate Andrea Larini. Johan Kristoffersson split the two Mercedes in the KMS Audi.
Franco Fumi had another solid outing in his Dinamic BMW with the ninth fastest time, while German driver Thomas Schoffler made sure all three Audis were in the top 10.
Having set the pace in the first practice session, local hero Norbert Michelisz did not turn a lap in the second session, despite his Scuderia Guidici team reporting no problems with its BMW.
