Andrew Jordan sets BTCC practice pace at Croft

Andrew Jordan set the pace in the opening practice session for this weekend's British Touring Car Championship rounds at Croft

The Pirtek Racing driver clocked a 1m24.835s time, nearly a second faster than the two factory Hondas of Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal.

Shedden, the championship leader, might have been closer but for a wild ride across the grass on the exit of Sunny. In the end he was 0.830s off Jordan's pace, with Neal a further 0.7s in arrears.

Dave Newsham was fourth fastest in the ES Racing Vauxhall Vectra ahead of Rob Collard's WSR BMW and Jason Plato's works MG.
