H6: #1 Audi leads Le Mans 24 Hours under caution

#1 Audi, Le Mans 2012The sixth hour of this year's Le Mans 24 Hours was run entirely under safety car conditions as track officials continued to work on repairing the barriers at Mulsanne corner following Anthony Davidson's massive accident.

Toyota confirmed that the 33-year-old Briton seemed to be OK but that he would be taken to hospital for further checks.

During the lull there was a lead change as Toyota relinquished its hard-earned position at the front back to the #1 Audi through driver changes. Marcel Fassler took over from Benoit Treluyer in the German squad and Kazuki Nakajima climbed in the TS030.

Oliver Jarvis also took over the #4 Audi from Marco Bonanomi, and is running in fourth behind Dindo Capello's e-tron quattro.

Jacques Nicolet recovered the lead of LMP2 in the #24 Morgan following a pitstop for David Heinemeir-Hansson in the erstwhile frontrunning OAK Racing car.

Richard Westbrook leads GTE Pro for Corvette and Julien Canal remains at the top of the GTE Am order.
