Jason Plato fastest as again as Mat Jackson crashes at Oulton Park

The points leader put in a 1m27.426s lap with his works MG6 between two red flags. The first was for title contender Mat Jackson, who crashed his Motorbase Ford Focus on the run from Old Hall to Cascades.

Plato and the Honda Civics of Matt Neal (works Dynamics squad), Andrew Jordan (Eurotech/Pirtek), and Gordon Shedden (works) filled the top four places after the restart, before Ollie Jackson crashed the AmD VW Golf at Cascades. His off damaged the barriers and brought the session to a premature end.

Rob Collard's WSR BMW was fifth, while Andy Neate continued his good Oulton form by getting the second MG into the top six.

Adam Morgan's Speedworks Toyota Avensis was seventh, just ahead of Jeff Smith (Eurotech), who made it four Civics in the top eight.

BTCC newcomer and single-seater convert Will Bratt was 12th in his Rob Austin Racing Audi A4.
