The Formula 1 fraternity came to Spain with the intention of knocking the Brawn team off their place at the front of the pack. Today, the Brackley-based outfit answered in dominant fashion with another one-two, and they now sail into a huge constructors' championship lead of almost 30 points.

Red Bull impressed again with a very positive three-four finish, and Ferrari showed that they are slowly moving forward, through Felipe Massa's battling drive, with hope for the rest of the season despite another DNF for Kimi Raikkonen and Massa's lack of fuel at the end.

This was the Spanish Grand Prix weekend on AUTOSPORT Live. We hope you have enjoyed the coverage and updates throughout the weekend.

The rest of the field will have to think again and keep trying to hone their packages in the next fortnight, before the series reconvenes in Monaco. We will have full coverage of the Grand Prix de Monaco from Thursday 21st May.
The champagne sprays on the podium and the three drivers soak eachother, as the Brawn team reign in Spain.
Mark Webber points his trophy towards his team after a strong third today.
Rubens Barrichello is handed his trophy for second place this afternoon. The Brazilian is naturally disappointed not to have won today, but he bravely smiles for the crowd as he holds the prize aloft.
Jenson Button takes his prize and celebrates another fine win - extending his championship lead.
Six drivers retired from the Spanish Grand Prix:

Kimi Raikkonen slowed with no drive early in the race.

Heikki Kovalainen retired in the pits with a suspected gearbox issue in the first few laps.

Jarno Trulli, Adrian Sutil, Sebastian Buemi and Sebastien Bourdais all retired at Turn 2 after that dramatic first lap crash.
Rubens Barrichello is unlikely to be overly pleased with second, having lead early on but eventually losing out to Button on strategy choice.
Nick Heidfeld drove well to get some points for BMW in seventh, with Nico Rosberg claiming the final point in eighth.

Lewis Hamilton held off Glock for ninth. Robert Kubica finished 11th with Piquet just a couple of second behind him in 12th. Kazuki Nakajima was 13th and Giancarlo Fisichella was the final finisher in 14th place.
Jenson Button tours in to the pits and is ready to celebrate yet another win.
Massa has run out of fuel on the slowing down lap and pulls off to the side of the road.
Sebastian Vettel lost out to Webber on tyre strategy, with Alonso fifth after that late pass on Massa, who trailed in sixth.
Barrichello finishes second with Mark Webber tight behind him in third - a great podium for Webber after a gritty drive.
Lap 66: Jenson Button rounds the final corner and wins the 2009 Spanish Grand Prix!

The championship leader made his two-stop strategy count and he beats the three-stopping Barrichello into second place on a great day for the Brawn team.
Lap 66: Alosno drives right around the outside of Massa in Turn 3 and takes fifth place away from the slowing Ferrari.
Lap 66: Fernando Alonso is encouraged on by the come crowd as he closes rapidly on Massa.
Lap 66: Lewis Hamilton has found some better pace in recent laps, and has been turning laps in the 1:25s bracket. He is now beginning to edge away from Glock and looks set for ninth place this afternoon.

Robert Kubica is still 11th a few seconds behind the Hamilton-Glock fight, and Nelson Piquet has done a good job hanging onto this group of cars for most of the race. 12th place for Piquet will be poor reward from what has been a decent drive by the Brazilian.
Lap 66: Conditions have become slightly cloudy in recent minutes but the radar images show the rain avoiding the track at the moment.
Lap 65: Jenson Button puts a lap on Lewis Hamilton as he drives for the finish in Spain.
Lap 65: Fernando Alonso begins to home in rapidly on the slowing Ferrari. The gap is 13.3 seconds with three laps to go.
Lap 65: Massa was told on the radio to let Vettel through and he needs to find a lap of fuel to make the flag.
Lap 64: Felipe has slowed in the Ferrari in an attempt to cruise to the finish without a stop.
Lap 63: Amazingly, the quickest driver on the circuit at this time is Giancarlo Fisichella. The Italian is 14th and last, but is flying with his last lap being 1:23.9. Giancarlo is 24 seconds adrift of Nelson Piquet in 13th.
Lap 62: Felipe Massa is 17 seconds clear of Alonso and could make a quick stop for fuel and resume ahead of the Spaniard.

The lack of fuel in the Ferrari will hand fourth to Vettel unless Massa can conserve enough to make the finish.
Lap 61: Kubica and Piquet pulled in 0.7s on the battling Hamilton and Glock on the last lap. We are set for a four car scrap soon for ninth.

Entertainment for the crowd but no fun for the drivers as there are no points on offer.
Lap 60: Jenson Button is flying on the hard tyres and has pulled to almost 12 seconds clear of Barrichello. Mark Webber continues to keep the second Brawn busy.

Behind them is that battle between Massa and Vettel, which may be resolved in the latter's favour if the Ferrari runs out of fuel.
Lap 60: Lewis Hamilton isn't enjoying good pace on this set of tyres either. He is turning laps in the 1:26s bracket with all the drivers behind him running up to one second per lap faster.

Hamilton is clinging on to ninth at the moment but Glock is right there now, and Kubica and Piquet are closing in too.
Lap 58: Felipe Massa deploys his KERS once again to fend off Vettel but is told that he won't make the flag unless he saves fuel.
Lap 57: Nakajima in 13th did bring that gap down between himself and Piquet in 12th. Before the stops they were 11 seconds apart. The gap now stands at 3.5 seconds as Kazuki continues to close down the Renault.
Lap 56: Before the second round of stops Timo Glock had been closing down on Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton had the better stop but does not seem to have the pace today.

Glock has caught the four second gap between them easily and they are about to battle over ninth place.

They are a full 21 seconds behind Rosberg in eighth, and neither of them have a chance to score this afternoon unless one of the top eight drivers drops out in the remaining 12 laps.
Lap 56: Jenson Button is the fastest man on the track at the moment and has extended his lead to almost ten seconds.
Lap 55: Mark Webber is the man to watch at this stage as he closes on the Brawn of Barrichello.
Lap 55: Felipe Massa is told by engineer Rob Smedley to try and save fuel as the Brazilian seems to be marginal on fuel to make the flag.
Lap 55: Giancarlo Fisichella pits for the final time this afternoon in the Force India. He resumes at the rear of the field in 14th position.
Lap 54: Button has a eight second advantage over Barrichello, with Webber a further two seconds behind and catching the Brawn.

Felipe Massa is now fourth and being forced to use his KERS in defence from Vettel's Red Bull.
Lap 53: Kazuki Nakajima pits from ninth place. Prior to the stops he was 11 seconds behind Nelson Piquet, and will be hoping that stopping later will narrow that gap down.
Lap 53: Jenson's pace is good on the hard rubber and he's almost a second quicker than the Ferrari of Massa.
Lap 52: Nick Heidfeld pits from seventh place in the BMW for the final time this afternoon. It is a very quick 22.2 seconds time in the pitlane. He emerges in seventh place - ahead of Rosberg.

A great performance by the BMW pit crew.
