Supreme reliability was on display today, as 19 of the 20 cars finished a very tough race in the heat, but by the end of lap 57, it was Jenson Button who crossed the line to take his third victory in the four races held so far, after a flawless drive.
Sebastian Vettel and Jarno Trulli both drove well to score podiums, and keep the pressure on the Brawn team. Lewis Hamilton and Vodafone McLaren Mercedes fans can take heart from the Briton's fourth place finish. The team is clearly moving forward and expect further improvements to package for the next round in Spain.
Ferrari fans may not be jumping up and down with glee, but they are on the points board and got two cars to the finish. They too will continue to work hard from here.

Quote
"I'm delighted with fourth. Considering we started fifth, we moved up one place, made a great start and it was just so hard to keep up with the guys. The Red Bull, Vettel, was so fast and the Toyotas and Brawn, they are just so fast in the fast corners that it was difficult for me."

Sebastian Vettel takes his prize for second. He looks happy, but deep down he may be slightly disappointed with that, having lost out at the start, which hindered his challenge for the win.
Jenson Button is handed the trophy for victory in today's Bahrain Grand Prix. He is absolutely delighted and is presented it by the Crown Prince.

Heikki Kovalainen was 12th, Bourdais 13th, Massa 14th but up against it following a stop early in the race, Fisichella 15th - a drive that should have been better without a couple of mistakes, Sutil two seconds behind his team-mate in 16th.
Sebastien Buemi finished 17th, with a disastrous day for BMW complete with Kubica 18th and Heidfeld 19th.
Kazuki Nakajima was the only retirement of the race, eight laps from the end.

It is Jenson's third win of the season and another brilliant drive from the championship leader.

Lap 56: Vettel is second and the pressure from Trulli behind has eased in recent laps.
Lap 56: Button leads with two laps to go in Bahrain.
