A perfect good news story for Formula 1, as Pastor Maldonado claims a stunning maiden victory and in doing so returns Williams to the winner's circle for the first time in eight years.
Alonso pushed as hard as his Ferrari would allow, but when he lost pace in the last 10 laps that was the end of his challenge, but his supporters will have enjoyed a podium finish. Raikkonen continues to bag solid points and keep himself in the championship hunt.
Not such a good weekend for Red Bull, Mercedes or McLaren, but Sauber will be pleased with another strong finish - this time for the battling Kamui Kobayashi.

Lotus is still third in the standings thanks to more consistent finishes, ahead of Ferrari. Williams are elevated to fifth by a great result
Little change in the constructors' race, with relatively poor scores for Red Bull and McLaren leaving the gap at nine points.
Despite another difficult day, Hamilton is just eight points of the points lead, followed closely by Raikkonen, Webber and Button.
An incredible result makes Vettel the joint championship leader with Alonso, both on 61 points.
Alonso and Raikkonen get the winner up on their shoulders and Maldonado delights in the moment, waving to the crowd.
The champagne sprays on the podium and Alonso ensures that Maldonado gets a drenching.
A great drive from Raikkonen once again, picking up the trophy for third place in his Lotus.

Perez pulled off to the side of the track, his race ruined after a touch at the first corner. Pic pulled into the pits to end his afternoon. Karthikeyan stopped just after the pit exit after his second stop, while Senna and Schumacher tangled in a high-speed moment at Turn 1.

Glock was 18th for Marussia and de la Rosa was the final finisher in 19th for HRT at his and the team's home event.
So Webber is out of the points in 11th, with Vergne 12th, Ricciardo 13th, di Resta 14th, Massa 15th, Kovalainen 16th and Petrov in 17th.
Delight in the Williams camp as the team celebrates its first victory since Juan Pablo Montoya's triumph way back in the 2004 Brazilian GP.
Rosberg keeps ahead of Hamilton at the line to just hold onto seventh place. Button was ninth and Hulkenberg also held off Webber for 10th.
Vettel makes it a recovery drive to take sixth in his Red Bull.
Plenty of action for Kobayashi, who muscled his way to a fine fifth place.
Raikkonen provided a late charge but in the end it is third place for the Finn. Team-mate Grosjean takes fourth.
Alonso takes second after a typically battling drive on home soil, with Williams making the strategy work to deny the Spaniard.

Lap 66: Pastor Maldonado is a lap away from victory in Spain.
Lap 66: Hamilton in eighth is now just 1.1s off the back of Rosberg's Mercedes.

Lap 65: Raikkonen continues to close on Alonso, who is certainly struggling for grip now.
Lap 65: Maldonado heads into his penultimate lap and still in control for Williams.
Lap 64: Raikkonen is now nine seconds off the lead, which Maldonado continues to maintain despite aging tyres on the Williams.
Lap 64: Vettel tries again on the outside of Hamilton as they steam down into Turn 1 ... and he makes it stick! Vettel moves up to seventh.
Lap 63: Di Resta's pace is fading in 14th and Massa has caught back up to the Force India again. Four different battles on the circuit.
Lap 63: Hamilton protects the inside heading down to Turn 1 and maintains track position over the Red Bull driver.
Lap 63: Alonso's challenge continues to fade, with the Ferrari now 2.3 seconds behind leader Maldonado.
Lap 63: Meantime, Vettel has bridged that gap to Hamilton and the fight for seventh begins.
