Antonio Felix da Costa secures 2015/16 Aguri Formula E drive

Formula E race winner Antonio Felix da Costa will return to the all-electric championship for its second season

The Red Bull-backed BMW DTM driver is rejoining Team Aguri, the team with which he contested eight of the first campaign's 11 races.

Da Costa won in Argentina en route to eighth in the points.

"The team are making big steps forward and I believe that we have the tools to fight hard and bring home some solid results," said da Costa.

"I cannot wait for Beijing.

"I really want to thank the team for having me, it is an indication that I did good things for them last year and so now I want to give them something back also."

Da Costa has not driven for the team since the Moscow round in June, and did not take part in any official pre-season testing.

Aguri tested Pedro de la Rosa, Tom Dillmann, Salvador Duran, Nicolas Lapierre, Stefano Coletti and Nathanael Berthon across its allotted manufacturer days and the six days at Donington Park.

It has yet to name the other of its two drivers, though one of that sextet is understood to be due to partner da Costa.

Team principal Mark Preston said having a driver of da Costa's calibre on board as Aguri sticks with the season-one Spark SRT_01E was important for the team.

"Antonio brought us our maiden win in Buenos Aires and helped to develop the team from scratch," he added.

"He will continue to build on that success for season two and beyond.

"With Team Aguri focusing on reliability and delivering straight out of the box in Beijing, he will be a crucial part of that strategy."
