Spa WEC: Porsche one-two in wet second practice
Porsche blocked out the top two positions in a wet second free practice session ahead of Saturday's round of the World Endurance Championship at Spa
Earl Bamber went fastest with a 2m25.495s lap aboard the #19 Porsche 919 Hybrid, which put him just under half a second ahead of team-mate Timo Bernhard on a 2m25.984s.
Andre Lotterer was third for Audi in the #7 R18 e-tron quattro on a 2m26.183s, which put him six tenths up on the final Porsche in the hands of Neel Jani.
The #8 Audi, which was involved in the first-session crash that has , did not run because repairs had not been completed.
The 90-minute session was held in driving rain that intensified in the final half hour, so much so that only a handful of cars ventured out on track.
The Straka Dome-Nissan S103 once again topped the LMP2 times, Danny Watts's 2m34.370s giving him a half second advantage over Mitch Evans in the Jota Sport Gibson-Nissan 015S.
Richard Lietz was quickest in GTE Pro in the best of the Manthey Porsche 911 RSRs.
His time of 2m37.058s put him three tenths up on Richie Stanaway's Aston Martin Vantage GTE.
Rui Aguas led the way for the AF Corse Ferrari team in GTE Am.
