Ricky Taylor to make Le Mans debut in Larbre Chevrolet Corvette
Chevrolet factory Grand-Am driver Ricky Taylor will make his Le Mans 24 Hours debut in June
The 24-year-old, who races for the Spirit of Daytona squad in the US, will drive one of the Larbre Competition squad's GTE Am class Chevrolet Corvette C6.Rs alongside Julien Canal and Patrick Bornhauser.
Taylor, whose brother Jordan is also a factory Chevrolet driver and races for Corvette Racing at Le Mans, said: "I've been dreaming of doing Le Mans all my life. It's incredible to get this opportunity, especially with such a good team.
"I'll be staying with Jordan when I'm at Le Mans, so I will be able to ask him and Richard [Westbrook, Taylor's team-mate at Spirit of Daytona] for any advice.
"I'll be in similar equipment to my brother, but it's probably good we are in different classes. Going in GTE Am probably means there's less pressure on me, but on the other hand, Larbre has won its class for the past three years."
Taylor is due to test for Larbre at Val de Vienne at the beginning of June and then at the Le Mans test day two weeks before the race.
