Yukinori Taniguchi will join Campos Racing for the penultimate round of the World Touring Car Championship at Shanghai next weekend.
Taniguchi raced a Wiechers-Sport BMW at the WTCC's most recent round at Suzuka, but is switching to the Campos team to drive one of its SEAT Leons for the Chinese event.
The 44-year-old Japanese driver was a regular in the WTCC in 2008 and from 2010-11.
He took his best career finish of seventh at Suzuka in the latter season and claimed victory in the Yokohama Trophy division of the WTCC at Okayama in 2010.
Campos announced earlier this month that Andre Couto will join the team for the final round of the season in Macau.
