Aleksei Dudukalo will join James Thompson in Lada's World Touring Car Championship line-up next year.
The 36-year-old Russian finished 15th in this year's standings in a SEAT Leon run by Lukoil Racing.
But with the oil giant shutting down its race operation and instead transferring its backing to Lada's factory outfit, Dudukalo has moved across too.
"I am glad to continue racing in the WTCC, especially because now I have the opportunity to do it for a factory team and in a Russian car," he said.
"I hope that James and I will make life difficult for our competitors. I can't wait to start testing the Lada Granta on the track."
Former British Touring Car champion Thompson gave the Granta machine its WTCC debut at the Hungaroring this year and also raced at the Algarve circuit.
He recorded a best finish of 11th and has been testing extensively since.
