Turkington quickest in final practice

Colin Turkington looks set to continue his excellent form since joining the World Touring Car Championship this summer, after topping Saturday's final practice session at Brno

The reigning BTCC champion impressed on familiar ground at Brands Hatch two weeks ago when he was quickest in final practice and went on to score two podium finishes. He will go one step further if he can repeat the feat on his first visit to the Czech circuit this weekend.

Turkington's best time was nearly half a second faster than championship leader Yvan Muller's Chevrolet, with Gabriele Tarquini's SEAT and Augusto Farfus's BMW trailing by more than a second in third and fourth.

Rob Huff, Jordi Gene and Alain Menu were next on the list, before Kristian Poulsen - eighth outright in his independent BMW.

Tiago Monteiro was ninth fastest, but caused the session to conclude early when he spun into the gravel in the closing minutes. Andy Priaulx completed the top 10 in his BMW.
