Tom Chilton stays with ROAL for 2015 WTCC campaign

The 29-year-old Briton - elder brother of Formula 1 racer turned IndyCar aspirant Max Chilton - moved across to ROAL when RML stopped running its Chevy WTCC team after the 2013 season.

He took a race win at Shanghai on the way to eighth in the championship.

"I'm delighted to be racing again with ROAL in the WTCC," said Chilton.

"I settled into the team quickly last year and managed some great results and podiums on our way to the Yokohama Teams Trophy."

Long-time ROAL racer Tom Coronel was Chilton's team-mate in Roberto Ravaglia's squad last season.

The team said it would announce its second 2015 driver in mid-February.

Chilton's campaign will begin with four days of testing split between Valencia and Barcelona next week.

"We've set ourselves some high targets for this year to build on the success we had in 2014 and we're delighted to have Tom back in our car to help us achieve them," said Ravaglia.

"He did an excellent job for us last year and we're all excited to see what we can do with him behind the wheel for 2015."
