Alfa Romeo driver James Thompson has slammed countryman James Plato after the pair collided at last weekend's WTCC meeting at Imola
Plato has been docked ten grid spots for his next WTCC race after he knocked Thompson into a spin in the second race.
"I think Jason should get himself down to Specsavers as soon as he returns to the UK," Thompson told Motorsport News.
"His crash into me in race two ruined my weekend. I know he has been penalised ten places on the grid for the next round, but that doesn't give me the points back I have lost as a result of him crashing into me.
"I was furious and I made sure I didn't see him after the race because we'd have only had a row. It is another episode in a frantic season and I have taken more punches than Frank Bruno."
