Tarquini fastest at Oschersleben
Gabriele Tarquini and Rob Huff set the pace in Saturday morning's first World Touring Car free practice at Oschersleben
Tarquini's SEAT and Huff's Chevrolet were separated by just 0.040s at the head of the field, and were quarter of a second clear of everyone else.
Jordi Gene's SEAT, Andy Priaulx's BMW and Tiago Monteiro's SEAT were covered by just half a tenth in third to fifth places, though Monteiro ended the session five minutes early when he ploughed straight on into the wall at Turn 3, Hasseroder.
Augusto Farfus and Alain Menu finished up sixth and seventh quickest in the second of the BMWs and Chevrolets.
Michel Nykjaer and Tom Coronel made it five Leons in the top 10, which was completed by championship leader Yvan Muller's Cruze. Franz Engstler was the fastest of the independent runners in 13th.
The session was broken up by an early red flag period, when Stefano D'Aste crashed his BMW into the barriers.
