SEAT, Chevrolet top Monza practices

SEAT and Chevrolet topped a session of World Touring Car practice each at Monza on Saturday

Reigning champion Gabriele Tarquini led the way in the earlier session for SR Sport after displacing BMW's Andy Priaulx from the top of the pile.

Chevrolet then came to the fore in the afternoon session, with Rob Huff leading the way, Priaulx second again and Tarquini completing the top three.

Priaulx's RBM team-mate Augusto Farfus was only sixth and eighth, with Chevrolet's Yvan Muller fifth in both sessions and Alain Menu 14th and fourth.

Jordi Gene was Tarquini's nearest SEAT challenge in the first session - third quickest - before Freddy Barth was closest in the afternoon in sixth.

Franz Engstler and Mehdi Bennani were the fastest independents in 11th and 12th places respectively.
