Rob Huff fastest in Friday Marrakech WTCC session for Honda

Honda's Rob Huff topped Friday's World Touring Car Championship test session in Morocco

On a redesigned Circuit Moulay El Hassan around the streets of Marrakech, Huff dragged his Civic to a best time of 1m22.451s with five minutes of the half-hour session to spare.

Jose Maria Lopez jumped up to second in the dying moments in his Citroen C-Elysee, denying Honda a 1-2-3 in the session as long-time pacesetter Norbert Michelisz ended up third ahead of Tiago Monteiro.

Yvan Muller was fifth-fastest in the second factory Citroen C-Elysee, one second away from Huff's ultimate pace, with Lada drivers Gabriele Tarquini and Nicky Catsburg next up.

In a trouble-free session, home favourite Mehdi Bennani was the best-placed of Sebastien Loeb Racing's three independent Citroens in eighth ahead of James Thompson - the Brit filling in at Munnich Motorsport for a second weekend - while the third Lada Vesta of Hugo Valente completed the top 10.
