ROAL BMW put to back of Hungaroring World Touring Car grid
The ROAL Motorsport BMWs of Tom Coronel and Superstars champion Alberto Cerqui have been stripped of their World Touring Car Championship qualifying times at the Hungaroring
Both men were penalised after laptops were plugged into the cars under parc ferme conditions following the opening qualifying session.
The actions breached Article 118 of the 2012 FIA WTCC sporting regulations.
Dutchman Coronel entered round five of the series in Hungary fourth in the WTCC drivers' standings. But, along with Cerqui, will be forced to start on the back row of Sunday's rolling start race.
Both men had struggled in qualifying and were only 13th and 19th fastest, with Cerqui ahead.
