Muller Wins Race 1 at Magny Cours
BMW Germany driver Jorg Muller claimed an easy win in the first race of the WTCC weekend at Magny Cours, leading all twelve laps to the chequered flag

Muller had a good start to head the field into the first corner ahead of BMW Great Britain's Andy Priaulx, who claimed SEAT's Rickard Rydell after the Swede bogged down at the start.
Muller pulled away from the pack and stayed there, running a second a lap faster than his pursuers. Behind him fourth placed Alfa Romeo's Gabriele Tarquini and Augusto Farfus were split by Antonio Garcia, who was pushed for a number of laps by Farfus.
Farfus couldn't make the move stick, and eventually dropped off the back of the BMW. Dirk Muller and SEAT's Jordi Gene got by Farfus on the closing laps, who clearly had pole for the second race in mind as he fell backwards.
Priaulx pushed hard but was unable to get close to Jorg Muller, who was almost three seconds to the good when the chequered flag signaled the end of the sprint race.
