The 13 drivers present were each given the chance to drive a total of 15 laps over three separate stints on the 1.68-mile track, but conditions which varied from very wet to almost dry made their performances hard to compare.

Monica Sipsz, team manager of the works Autodelta team commented: "I think we have given them all the opportunity to have proper runs. In the end, this test will be very important to us. Our plan is to run six competitive cars in the 2004 FIA ETCC, and one or even more drivers might come from the group we have seen today."

The drivers were split between two 2003 156 ETCC cars, according to height... Morbidelli, who hasn't raced since a bitty 2002 season, Enrique Bernoldi, Nicolas Minassian, Ricardo Mauricio, Luca Rangoni, Jonathan Cochet and Simone Iacone drove the 'short' car, while Tarso Marques, Toni Vilander, Matteo Grassotto, Phil Bastiaans, Gabriele Gardel and Michele Bartyan shared the 'tall' 156.
