Rovanpera Cautious on Chances

Harri Rovanpera believes it is too early to consider finishing on the podium after his superb start to the Wales Rally GB

Rovanpera Cautious on Chances

Rovanpera has yet to finish in the top three this season, but ended the first loop of stages in the Welsh forests in third.

The Finn had a puncture on SS3, however his anti-deflation mouse worked successfully and he overcame the vibration to finish the stage 22.9 seconds ahead of Citroen's Francois Duval in fourth.

Rovanpera told Autosport-Atlas: "The car is running well. It is too early to think we will finish here but if it continues to be slippy like this morning we are more on the same level as the other cars.

"If it continues like this we really hope we can stay here. But they were difficult stages, very slippery and very wet."
