Sebastien Loeb broke his arm on Wednesday and has pulled out of the Turkish rally next month, a Kronos team spokesman said.
"Loeb was riding a mountain bike when he fell and got injured on Wednesday," said the spokesman who confirmed the driver will be absent from the rally starting on October 13.
The Kronos team driver clinched his 28th career victory in Cyprus last week and stands only six points away from a third consecutive world title.
Loeb leads the drivers' standings with 112 points while his Finnish rival Marcus Gronholm is second on 77 points with four rallies to go.
