Fabien Pailler to contest British and French 2014 World RX rounds

Frenchman Fabien Pailler will race a brand new Pailler Competition Peugeot 208 Supercar at the British and French rounds of the new-for-2014 World Rallycross Championship

Fabien Pailler to contest British and French 2014 World RX rounds

Pailler, who finished runner-up in the French Rallycross Championship last season, impressed when he contested his home round of the European championship at Loheac in 2013.

He was fourth overall in the Intermediate classification, but then suffered a first corner crash in the semi-final.

Pailler said his eponymous outfit will focus on its domestic series in 2014, with selected outings in the world championship.

"Because of our customers and partners we have associated with the French championship, it is essential to ensure our presence there," said Pailler, who's father Jean-Luc won the European Rallycross Championship in 1993.

"Rather than disperse the team, and risk doing things by halves, we have chosen to focus on the French championship and on certain dates of the world championship that do not conflict.

"We will be present at Lydden Hill as well as Loheac, but we also plan to do more too."

Pailler's younger brother Jonathan will race the team's 2013 version of the Peugeot 208 in the French series, and is also likely to race at his home World RX round at Loheac.
