Nicolas Prost to race at Le Mans
Alain Prost's son Nicolas will make his debut in the Le Mans 24 Hours driving a Saleen S7R this year
The 25-year-old will drive for Team Oreca in the GT1 class, and he believes that he will be in a car capable of competing for victory against the Corvettes and Aston Martins.
"The objective is to win the GT class," Prost was quoted as saying by Gazzetta Dello Sport.
"I want to try out the excitement of Le Mans, which seems very fascinating."
The Frenchman is still aiming for a career in Formula One rather than sportscars though, and this season he will compete in the Spanish F3 championship for the second year.
"My objective is to arrive in F1 one day," he added. "After Le Mans I will aim for the Spanish F3 title with Adrian Campos' team."
Prost is already familiar with his surroundings when he arrives at the track in June, as he has previously been a part of the French La Filiere scheme which is based at the circuit.
