Martin Brundle joins WEC for Silverstone round

The Brundles will contest the British round of the FIA World Endurance Championship on August 26 with the Greaves Zytek squad, which is fielding an additional car in the fourth round of the series.

They will share the Nissan-powered Zytek Z11SN with Lucas Ordonez, with whom they finished eighth in LMP2 at Le Mans last month.

Brundle Sr said: "I thoroughly enjoyed the whole Le Mans 24 Hours adventure, so when I was asked to race the Greaves Zytek-Nissan on the spectacularly fast Silverstone GP circuit with Alex and Lucas, the answer was simply 'yes'. I'm looking forward to another race finish, hopefully on the podium."

The British Greaves Motorsport is fielding the Brundles and Ordonez alongside its regular WEC entry for Elton Julian, Ricardo Gonzalez and Christian Zugel. Brundle Jr and Ordonez are contesting the European Le Mans Series with Greaves this season.
