Loic Duval's Audi Le Mans stand-in Marc Gene confident he is ready
Marc Gene is confident he will straight up to speed when he takes Loic Duval's seat in the #1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro in second Le Mans 24 Hours qualifying
The Audi reserve driver has been recalled from the Jota Zytek LMP2 squad after Duval's accident in practice on Wednesday.
He revealed that he has had four days of testing in the all-new 2014 R18 this year.
"I had four days, two two-day tests at Paul Ricard and then Aragon," said Gene, who joins Tom Kristensen and Lucas di Grassi in the #1 Audi.
"I felt quite good, especially in the second one, which was only one month ago."

Gene, who won Le Mans with Peugeot in 2009, believes that his mileage with Jota in the Spa World Endurance Championship round last month and then during practice and qualifying at Le Mans on Wednesday will prove crucial.
"Audi put me at Jota [in the seat that Filipe Albuquerque occupies in the European Le Mans Series], and it was the right thing to do to keep me up to speed.
"It was better doing Spa in another category than not doing Spa."
Gene said he feels no pressure heading into the double-points WEC blue-riband event at Le Mans at the weekend.
"I couldn't have much better team-mates in Tom and Lucas.
"I was with Lucas last year and he is one of the best team-mates I have ever had and Tom is such a team player.
"We had a briefing today and they told me everything I needed to know."
Gene's place in the Jota Sport Zytek-Nissan Z11SN alongside Harry Tincknell and Simon Dolan has been filled by Oliver Turvey, who was a frontrunner for the team in last year's ELMS.
