Jota to run customer Aston LMP1

Jota Sport has announced that it will be one of the first customer teams to run Aston Martin's all-new LMP1 car, although its programme will not start until 2012.
The team entered into a partnership with Aston this year, starting with a deal to run the GT4 Vantage. The highlight of this campaign so far is a class victory in the Spa 24 Hours.
Next year Jota will step up to Aston's GT2 car, before running the new LMP1 in 2012 and 2013.
Factory Aston driver Sam Hancock will be loaned to Jota as part of the deal, with team co-owner Simon Dolan among the other drivers.
"Having started our relationship with Aston Martin Racing on a high with a GT4 class victory in the Spa 24 Hours recently, we're really happy to have such an exciting multi-year programme confirmed so early," said Dolan.
"That's a rare luxury at this level of motorsport and I've no doubt it will lay some strong foundations for the development of the team."
Jota hopes to get Le Mans 24 Hours entries for both its GT2 car next year and its LMP1 Aston beyond that.
