H3: Montagny builds #8 Peugeot's lead

The #8 Peugeot has maintained a healthy lead throughout the third hour of Le Mans

Franck Montagny is still in the car, having started the race from pole position, and has steadily increased his lead over team-mate Marc Gene to nearly two and a half minutes.

Allan McNish has reclaimed third place for the #1 Audi R15 from the #2 sister car by staying in the cockpit during his pitstop while Mike Rockenfeller handed over to Marco Werner.

McNish is dropping back steadily from Gene but is increasing his lead over Werner.

Tomas Enge has taken over the #007 Lola Aston Martin from Stefan Mucke. The car remains in fifth place, just one second ahead of the #008 Aston, which Darren Turner has given to Jos Verstappen.

Simon Pagenaud has jumped aboard the seventh place #17 Pescarolo Peugeot, in place of Jean-Christophe Boullion, but lost ground to the Aston Martins ahead when the car failed to restart at the first attempt.

Pagenaud is nearly a lap behind the AMR cars ahead but is lapping considerably quicker, having just set the #17 car's fastest lap of the race.

The two Kolles Audis are still running eighth and ninth, with the #3 Audi R15 having recovered back into the top 10.

The Team Essex Porsche still holds a slim LMP2 class lead over the Team Goh car, with Casper Elgaard and Seiji Ara still onboard each.

Johnny O'Connell is still pulling away from team-mate Olivier Beretta as the factory Chevrolet Corvettes dominate the GT1 class.

Jorg Bergmeister has reclaimed the GT2 lead for the Flying Lizards Porsche and is now three seconds ahead of the IMSA Porsche of Patrick Pilet, with the Risi Ferrari of Pierre Kaffer another 30 seconds back in third.
