Gene: I thought I was going to die
Marc Gene says he thought he was going to die when he crashed and rolled a Peugeot 908 HDi at Le Mans yesterday

The former grand prix driver, who was sharing the No.7 car with Nicolas Minassian and Jacques Villeneuve in the test day for 24 Hours, spun and rolled into a barrier in the Porsche Curves, destroying the car and fracturing a toe.
"The truth is that I didn't think I would survive the accident," he said on his personal website. "This has been, without a doubt, the biggest crash of my career and it was a miracle that I walked away.
"I just want to thank Peugeot for building a car that saved my life. Now I'm only thinking about recovering and being ready for the race. We face a great challenge to rebuild the car but I trust Peugeot, who have supported me a lot since the accident."
Gene is expected to be fit to drive in the first qualifying session for the 24 Hours next Wednesday.
