Audi ends Le Mans 24 Hours test day fastest with Lucas di Grassi

Neel Jani's 3m22.334s set in the opening session aboard the #2 Porsche stood as the third best time of the day, which finished 35 minutes early with a red flag.

Andre Lotterer improved on Marcel Fassler's morning time with a 3m22.588s, which left the car fourth in the times.

Toyota ended up fifth and sixth with its times from the morning session after it had to abandon new-tyre runs with both cars courtesy of the red flag.

Anthony Davidson's 3m23.197s left the best of the Toyota TS050 HYBRIDs 1.8 seconds off the pace.

Corvette Racing led the way in GTE Pro with a 3m55.122s lap from Antonio Garcia.

His time in the #63 Chevrolet Corvette C7.R eclipsed Porsche driver Nick Tandy's afternoon best of 3m55.402s by just under three tenths of a second.

The second factory Porsche 911 RSR ended up third in the times with Frederic Makowiecki's fastest lap from the morning session.

Tristan Gommendy set the LMP2 pace for Le Mans debutant Eurasia Motorsport.

The Frenchman put in a 3m36.690s aboard the Philippine team's ORECA-Nissan 05 to go seven tenths quicker than Nicolas Lapierre's morning best in the Signatech Alpine team's ORECA coupe.

Nicky Catsburg went fastest in GTE Am on his first acquaintance of the full Le Mans circuit aboard the Larbre Competition Chevrolet Corvette C7.R.

The session was stopped early when Oswaldo Negri Jr crashed the Michael Shank Racing LMP2 Ligier, causing barrier damage that could not be repaired in the time remaining.
