The Team Bruichladdich Radical SR9 have been forced to retire from the Le Mans 24 Hours less than 90 minutes into the race.
Tim Greaves crashed the car as he tried to get to the pits after a brief rain shower hit the track.
The British driver was able to get the car back to the pits despite heavy damage, but the team were forced to withdraw the car as a part of the suspension punctured the monocoque of the car.
The car had been competitive during the first hour of the race, as Greaves was part of a close battle at the front of the LMP2 class.
Warren Hughes currently leads the class, while reigning class winners RML are second in their Lola.
