Kyle Busch

Few would begrudge Busch a second NASCAR Cup Series title, although each time he’s scooped the title it’s been, well, a little weird. In 2015, recall that he broke his leg at Daytona and made a fantastic comeback.

This year, he looked unstoppable at some points, and pretty wretched (by his standards) at others. He hadn’t won a Cup race since June when he took victory in the one that really mattered – the Homestead finale.

Also notable was the breaking of Richard Petty’s record of 200 NASCAR wins – albeit all of Petty’s came at the Cup level, and the majority of Busch’s have been in Trucks and Xfinity Series.
