Will Davison kept his remarkable run of results alive by taking pole position for the first V8 Supercar race at Hidden Valley in Darwin.
Running towards the end of the top 10 shootout, the Ford Performance Racing driver topped the field with a 1m08.67s.
David Reynolds made it an all-FPR Falcon front row by qualifying second fastest in the Bottle-O Racing entry, ahead of the Triple Eight Holden Commodore of Jamie Whincup and Mark Winterbottom, who ensured all three FPR Falcons were in the top four.
Stone Brothers Racing (Ford) was another team to get all three cars into the shootout, Shane van Gisbergen, Tim Slade and Lee Holdsworth qualifying fifth, sixth and eighth respectively.
The Holden Racing Team Commodore of Garth Tander will split Slade and Holdsworth on the grid.
Rick Kelly (Kelly Commodore) and Fabian Coulthard (Brad Jones Racing Commodore) rounded out the top 10, while big names James Courtney (HRT) and Craig Lowndes (Triple Eight) missed out all together, and will start the first race from 19th and 20th respectively.
