The new V8-powered S5000 series is bringing 'big banger' single-seater racing back to Australia in 2019 and aims to become the country's own version of IndyCar.
Ahead of what promises to be a spectacular debut for the series next month, with ex-Formula 1 driver Rubens Barrichello on the grid, Autosport's Andrew van Leeuwen was given an exclusive chance to drive the S5000 prototype at Sydney Motorsport Park.
