Navarra test for Superleague
Superleague Formula is set to hold a two-day test at Navarra, Spain, on the final two days of August
The championship has held two rounds so far this season, visiting Assen in June and Zolder in July, but does not have another round planned until Goiania in Brazil at the start of October.
It is hoped that the two-day test will allow teams the chance to test potential new drivers, alongside handing current competitors the opportunity to re-familiarise themselves with the V12 cars.
"Navarra will be a great opportunity for our teams, and some of our newer drivers, to fully explore their cars," Superleague Formula Technical Director Steve Farrell said.
"The work done in Navarra will be extremely useful in Brazil and everywhere else we are going. It's also a fantastic opportunity for drivers who have expressed a desire to race in the series to come and experience a Superleague car."
Atech Reid Grand PrixGP boss Anthony Reid concurred, saying: "My intention is to send four cars: two for our current drivers, and two for testing rookie drivers for next season.
"We have lots of interest from Brazilian drivers who want to come and test before the Brazilian race, hopefully with the intention of running one of them over there."
John Martin currently leads for Australia in the overall standings, but the 2011 championship has not been smooth sailing following the cancellation of a proposed season finale at Taupo and the postponement by at least one year of a proposed event at Smolensk.
