Promoted: M.A. Business of Motorsport launched by National Motorsport Academy

The world's first Business Management Master's Programme and CPD courses delivered online and focused entirely on the world of motorsport that examine the national and international aspects of the industry from an entirely commercial perspective

Nine of the 10 Formula 1 teams. World Rally Championship and World Endurance Championship roles. The list of top-level series alumni of the National Motorsport Academy's online engineering courses work in goes on and on.

Now, after the clear success of the engineering programmes, the Academy is expanding into the commercial world by becoming the first institution to offer a variety of online Business of Motorsport courses. These include a Master's degree, a Postgraduate Certificate, a Postgraduate Diploma, Continuing Professional Development qualifications and a range of Masterclasses.

All courses are available to study flexibly online with additional support via video link. This is the flexible option for those looking to specialise in the commercial side of motorsport management, where they can study a short course or the full Master's degree alongside their other commitments.

Given the current coronavirus restrictions, online courses have been springing up everywhere, but the National Motorsport Academy is a step ahead of many institutions as it already benefits from years of experience of teaching the popular engineering qualifications online via its own interactive platform. And with the pandemic leading many to ponder career changes, the new business school is the ideal place to start for those seeking a management role in the commercial world of motorsport.

A Bachelor's degree in a Business, Sport or Engineering related subject are all suitable entry requirements to study the M.A. Business of Motorsport; entry can also be via a CV showing previous industry experience at a senior level in one of these subject areas. For the CPD and Masterclass courses no previous qualifications are required. International students with equivalent qualifications or experience are also welcome.

The M.A. the PGCert, and PGDip are all awarded by NMA Academic Partners, De Montfort University Leicester and for UK students a Post Graduate Student loan is available to cover the entire cost of the M.A.

The courses are targeted at those who were perhaps considering studying for a Master of Business Administration or Sports related MA with a keen interest in motorsport. Whether you're an engineer in the process of setting up a team or want to drive forward an existing operation, the qualifications will give you the skills and understanding you need.

One of the mottos of the Academy is 'earn while you learn', and the new business courses are designed to be fully flexible. You can start studying whenever you like and can complete the qualification at a pace that suits your existing commitments. Everything is completed online, and you will be learning from tutors that have decades of experience in senior roles within motorsport.

The Master's degree begins with a module looking at the history and governance of the sport to give a perfect initial overview, before covering areas such as sponsorship, the role of the media, commerce, and building a successful motorsport brand are explored in more detail.

You can now start enrolling on the course and initial interest has proved strong from students all over the world. For more information on how to begin the next chapter of your motorsport career, head to motorsport.nda.ac.uk/business-school
