JRM returns to British GT after racing absence of nearly four years

JRM, which won the 2011 GT1 World title with Michael Krumm and Lucas Luhr, will field a Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 at Donington Park on Septmber 24.

It will be the first race for JRM, which is the European agent for Nissan's GT3 racer, since a two-car attack on the Blancpain Endurance Series in 2013.

The JRM Nissan will be driven by British teenagers Charlie Fagg and Ben Green.

Seventeen-year-old Fagg is stepping up from the GT4 European Cup in which he competes in a Sean Walkinshaw Racing Nissan 370Z and has already claimed a GT4 class victory in British GTs in a one-off aboard a Maserati Gran Turismo at Spa in June.

Green, 19, lies second in the Ginetta G55 Supercup one-make series on the British Touring Car Championship package and finished second in GT4 in the Dubai 24 Hours in January.

JRM managing director Jason King said: "Getting back on the track with a newly-built NISMO GT-R GT3 specification Nissan, driven by a new, young and talented team, is what we have been waiting for.

"The time was right to unleash the team and set the challenge to get back on the track with a car, garage support and drivers that we feel has serious podium potential."

The last time British GT had a GT-R GT3 was in 2014, when Sir Chris Hoy raced the RJN-tended car.

King explained that JRM had focused on working on engineering and manufacturing projects for its client, which include major car makers, since 2013, having helped developed the Mini World Rallycross Supercar.

JRM is launching a young driver programme of which Fagg and Green are the first members.
