F1 star Wilson tries X-type for size
Jaguar Formula 1 driver Justin Wilson has sampled the 550bhp SCV8 X-type Supercar, in a special test arranged for a feature in next week's AUTOSPORT magazine
Wilson enjoyed his run, which took place at Snetterton in Norfolk last Friday.
"Fantastic," said Wilson. "It was very enjoyable and quite entertaining to drive keeping me on my toes throughout the session. The SCV8 provided me with some good feedback which allowed me to push harder and harder each lap."
Series organiser Supercar Promotions Limited has agreed tentative dates with Croft, Knockhill and Castle Combe. The Brands Hatch Circuits Group of Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Oulton Park and Snetterton have now agreed to allow SCV8 Supercars to run on their circuits. SPL will soon be in a position to announce its 10-event, 20-race SCV8 calendar which will take place between May and October.
Series founder Andy Rouse said: "We are currently negotiating for exciting support racing which compliments our SCV8 ideals, and fulfils our commitment to bring entertainment back into British motorsport."
