Third California Busch win for Biffle

Greg Biffle took his third Busch series win at California Speedway tonight, ahead of fellow Nextel Cup drivers Ryan Newman in second and Carl Edwards in third

This was Biffle's 18th Busch win and the fifth consecutive victory in California for Roush Racing.

The race was dominated by the Nextel Cup racers, with all the final 11 places taken by the Cup drivers. And while Biffle finished 2.256 seconds ahead of Newman, it was his Roush Racing teammate Edwards who looked set for a victory.

Edwards led 49 of the race's 150 laps and was easily the fastest driver. But with 16 laps left, he dived into the pits for fresh tyres as the last of four caution flags was brought out.

This allowed Jeff Burton to take the lead, but Biffle passed his former teammate with 10 laps to go, with Newman following suit to take second place.

Edwards, in the mean time, clawed his way to the front, eventually passing Burton for third with four laps to go.

Jamie McMurray claimed fifth, followed by Matt Kenseth and JJ Yeley. Kevin Harvick, who finished eighth, moved to the lead of the Busch Series standings after two races.
