Stewart Finally Wins in Daytona

Tony Stewart has finally taken a win at Daytona, after dominating the Pepsi 400 from start to flag

Stewart, who has a total of 14 NASCAR race starts in the hallowed Daytona International Speedway, has never won on the circuit before, but this time he managed to break the duck - and also break a series record, by leading the most number of laps in a single race.

The 2002 series champion lead 151 of the 160 laps, in a race that was delayed due to rain and finished at 2:00am local time. This was Stewart's second consecutive Nextel Cup win and he now moves to third in the points standing.

Behind Stewart, Jamie McMurray came in a close second, with Dale Earnhardt Jr. in third, Rusty Wallace in fourth, and Dale Jarrett in fifth.

Sixth place finisher Jimmie Johnson moved into the points lead, ousting Greg Biffle from the top of the standings after the latter retired halfway through the race with a badly damaged car from a heavy crash with Michael Waltrip.

Biffle was classifed 36th, moving him to second in the points standing.
