Red Bull confirm Speed and Vickers

Red Bull have confirmed that Scott Speed and Brian Vickers will form their NASCAR Sprint Cup line-up next season

Speed, who made five outings for the team at the end of this season, will switch to the No.82 car, run by Jimmy Elledge. The former grand prix driver will begin the season in the top 35 in the owners' rankings so will have a start guaranteed for the first five races.

Speed will also contest a part season in the Nationwide Series, driving the No.99 Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota.

Vickers will remain in his No.83 entry but will have a new crew chief, Ryan Pemberton, for his third season with the team.

Red Bull Racing Team's general manager Jay Frye said: "We're entering our third Sprint Cup season with driver and crew chief pairings that have what it takes to consistently compete at a high level.

"Scott earned his Sprint Cup ride by exceeding our expectations in ARCA and trucks. He has a great asset in Jimmy, who has experience working with both rookies and open-wheel drivers.

"Brian and Ryan are each at a point in their respective careers where they can bring home wins and make a run for the championship."

Red Bull also confirmed that they will retire the No.84 entry.
