NASCAR's Trevor Bayne fined, put on probation for walking on track
NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Trevor Bayne has been fined $20,000 and placed on probation until the end of the year after walking across the track following a crash last weekend

Bayne, the youngest ever Daytona 500 winner in 2011 at his first attempt, aged 20, was involved in a crash with Justin Allgaier and Michael Annett shortly before the race's midway point.
The Roush Fenway Racing driver thought he had cleared Annett and moved in front of him, but Annett clipped Bayne's rear right quarter panel and spun him into the wall. Allgaier was collected in the aftermath.
Bayne proceeded to walk across the race track after the crash, before he was greeted by the emergency services.
Drivers are prohibited from leaving their cars after an accident until the emergency crew arrives on the scene, a rule brought in shortly after the death of sprint car driver Kevin Ward Jr, who was struck by Tony Stewart during a caution period after walking into the middle of the track to remonstrate.
Bayne has had a difficult season so far, failing to score a top 10 in 13 starts, with an average finish of 28th.
The 24-year-old is part of a struggling Rousch Fenway setup yet to win this season, with Greg Biffle being its highest placed driver in the championship standings in 19th. Bayne sits 31st, worst of the team's three drivers.
