Dover Downs: Rookie Johnson's double
NASCAR Winston Cup rookie Jimmie Johnson took his second Dover Downs victory of the season at the one-mile oval on Sunday
The win made Johnson the first driver to win both races at a single venue in his first Winston Cup season and was his third of the year.
Johnson led 170 laps, more than anyone else, but came under attack from NASCAR points leader Mark Martin in the closing stages. Martin was held up by Sterling Marlin - the man who he took the championship lead from - as they were lapping his Dodge, and that gave Johnson the edge to take victory.
Reigning champion Jeff Gordon failed to make an impression on the title battle this weekend after crashing out on lap 65 as he tried to avoid a spinning Todd Bodine.
Johnson has now moved up to second in the points, just 30 down on Martin. Tony Stewart is third ahead of Marlin and Gordon.
