The new Auto GP series has announced a change of date and venue for its inaugural round.
The category had been scheduled to make its debut at Portimao in Portugal on 17-18 April, but it will now begin at Czech track Brno one week later instead.
"The championship organisation was left with no choice when the Portuguese Automobile Club gave notice that, due to a clashing with the Portuguese national championships in Estoril, it couldn't grant enough marshals for the correct development of the weekend," explained an Auto GP statement.
"This forced Auto GP to search for a new venue and, after examining various options, the Brno track was the best one, securing a perfect weekend development and a really little calendar postponement, just one week."
The first group test for the participants in the new championship will also be held at Brno on the Thursday prior to the races.
